Life happens. If a plant is due for watering but you can’t get to it right now, snooze the reminder for a few days. The app will remind you again when the snooze period ends. You can also disable reminders entirely for dormant plants or outdoor plants during winter.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of plants can I track?
Any plant! Cheerful Plants works for succulents, tropical houseplants, cacti, herbs, vegetables, outdoor garden plants, and anything else you’re growing. The app doesn’t identify plants for you—it’s designed for tracking care, not identification.
How do watering reminders work?
You set a watering interval for each plant (or use the average after you’ve watered twice). The app sends one push notification per day at your chosen time, listing all plants that need attention. You can also see everything on the Reminders screen inside the app.
In addition to watering, you can also set reminder schedules for other activities (repotting, fertilizing, etc.) and even set custom reminders for actions not included in the default options.
Can I use the app on multiple devices?
Yes! Sign in with the same account (Google, Apple, or phone number) on another device and your plants sync automatically. You can also share your collection with family members using a sync key.
What happens if I go over 5 plants on the free plan?
You won’t be able to add new plants until you upgrade. Your existing plants and all their data remain accessible.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. All your plant data and photos are stored securely in the cloud and sync across devices. If you get a new phone, just sign in with the same information and everything will be there.
